Født over polarcirklen vender hun ofte tilbage til oplevelser formet af kulturen og de storslåede, men barske forhold i de øde landskaber i nord.

Stina er uddannet i kunst og design på KV Konstskola i Göteborg og har en kandidatgrad i billedkunst fra UID i Umeå, Sverige.
