Carina Hvidbjerg i ArtByHvidbjerg fortæller: Mit arbejde med at male, koncenterer sig om struktur og samsætning af farver. Jeg elsker havet og det liv det har om og i sig, og jeg elsker tiden der er gået og det udtryk som det efterlader sig, og jeg elsker alle de farvenuancer der bliver skabt deraf.

I en tid hvor vi bliver overbelastet med sanse- og synsindtryk finder jeg at konceptet ‘less is more’ er blevet mit fokus. Ved at nedtone farvekombinationerne håber jeg at skabe en ro og en dynde i mine malerier som får effekt på seeren.

Jeg arbejder med akryl på lærred og akryl og kul på lærred. Mine malerier er minimalistisk abstrakt.

Carina Hvidbjerg shares: My artistic practice focuses on texture and the interplay of colours. I am inspired by the sea and the life that exists around and within it, as well as by the passage of time and the traces it leaves behind. I am fascinated by the rich nuances of colour that emerge from these influences.

In a time when we are constantly overwhelmed by sensory and visual impressions, the concept of “less is more” has become central to my work. By using subdued colour palettes, I aim to create a sense of calm and depth in my paintings that resonates with the viewer.

I work with acrylic on canvas, as well as acrylic and charcoal on canvas. My paintings are minimalist and abstract, inviting contemplation through simplicity, texture, and atmosphere.
